My Birthday Present

I love love love birthdays. Luckily it was my birthday last Monday (2nd September to be precise) which meant one thing, and one thing only - PRESENTS!

I would be lying if the best thing about birthdays is the cake, or being with friends, or starting a new annual chapter in my life. Every birthday morning I wake up (a little too early may I add) and run down to the kitchen table, gifts on my mind. Normally beautifully presented are the parcels. If theres one thing I notice, its that the older you get, the smaller your presents become. They'll start out as that shiny new bike, or play equipment or a plastic cookery set; then they'll be that game console you'll want, then finally that envelope, filled with money for college or to help the rent.

I've reached the envelope stage of life. Admittedly I'm not old enough to pay rent and I'm still at school, but now I've reached the envelope stage, I can spend that money on things I've needed. And what was it this year?

A beautiful new camera.

I'm so happy to be writing this post, as I've wanted a camera for a while now. After a lifetime of phone quality its finally time to move on to high quality pictures! I'm really excited to start filming, and hopefully this will mean that my blog looks a lot more professional and clean-cut. Lets hope that I use the camera properly, and don't end up being that girl with all the selfies... *goes into picture folder... *Delete*.. *Delete**

For anyone also looking for a new camera, I can't recommend mine highly enough. Its the Sony a58 and is easy to use, so it perfect if (like me) you're just getting into photography and don't know what all the little symbols are. The display can explain everything to you, and all the buttons have come in use.

So, question of the day...
Whats the best birthday present you've received? Leave a comment bellow my beauties :) x

An Addicts Confession...

My name is Beth and I'm an addict.

At first, I thought I'd just give it a try. Everyone else was doing it and I didn't see any harm. So, almost a month a go, I tried it. It was thrilling and exciting, and still didn't think for a second it would become what it is.
However, I found myself reaching for it more and more. Sometimes just for fun, however after a while it became a time filler, then almost a must have part of my day. I closed my eyes and I could see it. I dreamt about it, I talked about it, I read/watched videos about other people who were enjoying it too. I would use it in school, in lessons, around friends, at home, alone. It was a staple in my daily routine, and in a way a big part of my life.
What is this thing I'm addicted to?

Candy Crush.

Probably one of the most frustrating games I've got on my iPhone but man that game is addictive. No joke, I'd see Candy Crush combinations whenever I shut my eyes. I'm not the only one either, Jim Chapman and Zoella Sugg (both popular youtubers who I admire loads) both talk about dreaming of the candy board. I seemed to get through the levels quite quickly, mainly because I spent boring lessons watching world war 2 films with my eyes glued to the phones screen. I've got passed level 35, and now it says to unlock the rest I need to pay £0.69p. Apparently I downloaded the wrong version which may be the most devastating news I'm ever going to hear, I spent way too much time on that game, don't make me start again :'(

Has anyone else caught onto the addiction too? I know I'm not the only one, this can be our support group. Leave a comment below!

Welcome to Thoughts and Fallen Stars

Hello Hello Hello!

I'm proud to announce I'm starting up my lifestyle blog! I've been writing a beauty blog (Bethdoebeauty) for a few months and I've really been enjoying it. I recently had to take a break from blogging but I'm back, and I thought starting up a lifestyle/chatty blog is a good way of getting back into the swing of blogging.

I won't be updating this blog as often as my beauty blog, I think I see this in the same way that youtubers see their 'Second channel'. More of a 'post when something happens' thing rather than a frequent commitment.

Anyway I can't wait to start writing, I'm excited about what this blog could become, so please click the follow button so you can keep up to date with me!
